Institute Management System

Purpose

The purpose of the project is to maintain student details, staff details and course details of the Institute, access the database when needed, maintain the students and staff attendance and calculate the staff salary.

Scope

The scope of this project is manage the students, staff and course details (add, edit, update and delete the details), automate the student and staff attendance in the students and staff details from their attendance sheet, user authentication for data access control and search the records when needed.

Objective

Designing a system that will provide a good way and easy to manage the whole details of the institute and ensure the security system.

  Project description 

Our project is to be developed a system for MCS IT CAMPUS, Jaffna. MCS IT CAMPUS maintained the all details in manual files (Paper based files). They are finding difficulties to access all the details in preview and calculate the salary of staff. They asked us to develop software for solving their issues.

 Our system will create a database for maintain the students, staff, course details and easy to find details and will do salary calculations of the staff. Our system mainly will provide a search facility.

            In this system we create the database and separately maintain the details of students, staffs and courses. Also separately maintain the time table of the courses, exam results of the students and attendance of staffs and students.

            System provide adding, editing and deleting facilities of data and search facilities (e.g.- we can search particular students details).

            In MCS IT CAMPUS maintain the attendance of the students and staff in manual files.

In this system we update the attendance in attendance of students and staffs details.

The system automatically finds the overall attendance and put it in the student’s details and staff’s details. And also automatically calculate the salary from the attendance.

             The system provides mailing facilities. That is we can send exam results, exam table through the mail. And also the system provide user authentication for data access control.

The system should be able to access at the office in the MCS IT CAMPUS.

           

Over all the system provide a good way and easy to manage the whole details of the institute and ensure the security system.

In this project we will write the all programs to develop the system. We will write the program using java, sql, php ,html and java script.
